Youth Programs

 The Westview Healthplex is dedicated to providing quality youth programs for all ages and abilities. Classes include dance, karate, ballet, basketball, and strength and conditioning classes. Fantastic Fitness and Fun - FREE!

Fantastic Fitness and Fun is designed for children six to 12. This program will introduce kids to a variety of activities including but not limited to sports, cardio training, and fitness activities. Join us in the Kids Gym Monday through Thursday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.; and on Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

Dance and Gymnastics

Hip Hop Dance: Check out this fast paced, high energy dance class where students will dance to upbeat music while learning all the latest funky moves. No prior dance experience necessary. This class is for ages 7-13. Members: $50; non-members: $55

September 8 - October 31: Wednesdays from 7:15 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. or Saturdays from 12:45 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Beginning Ballet: Students will learn basic ballet steps and increase strength, flexibility, and self discipline. Students will also increase their knowledge of spatial awareness and independant movement. This class is for ages 3-5. Members: $45; non-members: $50

September 8 - October 31: Wednesdays from 6:30 p.m. to 7:15 p.m. or Saturday from 10:30 a.m. to 11:15 p.m.

Intermediate Ballet: Intermediate Ballet will work students deeper into ballet technique. Students will also learn proper body, foot, and head alignment and placement. Students will also learn more complex steps and focus on body control by adjusting speed of movement. This class is for ages 6-10. Members: $50; non-members: $55

Tumbling

Baby and Me Gymnastics: Come have fun with baby participating in fun interactice games and activities. Mommies must stay and participate in the class. Members: $45; non-members $50

September 8 - October 31: Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.

Tumbling Tots: Tumble and turn in this high energy beginning tumbling class. Kids will learn basic tumbling and gross motor skills as well as work on balance and flexibility. This class is for ages 3-5. Members: $50; non-members: $55

September 8 - October 31: Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. or Wednesdays from 6:30 p.m. to 7:15 p.m.

Topsy Turvy Tumbling: Topsy Turvy Tumbling will focus on reviewing skills learned in tumbling tots as well as learning more advanced skills. Basic beam and bar skills will be introduced. This class is for ages 6-8. Members: $50; non-members: $55

September 8 - October 31: Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. or Tuesdays from 6:30 p.m. to 7:15 p.m.

Karate

Join us for this fun and disciplined karate class. Students will begin at a white belt and are promoted through the levels as they progress in their martial arts skills. This class is for ages 5-13. Members: $40; non-members: $55

September 8 - October 31: Monday at 7:15 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. or Wednesday from 7:15 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Tot Soccer League

This eight week league will introduce youngsters to the game of soccer. Sessions will be divided up into a skills portion and a controlled scrimmage. Each team will have 6-8 players . This league is for ages 3-6. Members: $55; non-members: $60

September 12 - October 31: Saturday at 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

Elementary Basketball Clinics

The elementary basketball clinic will introduce our winter basketball league. This clinic will focus on the basic fundamentals, game situations, and terms. Participants will be put through drills and participate in 1v1 and 3v3 games as well as hear from guest speakers. Participants will receive a t-shirt, mini ball, and certificate. This clinic is for ages 7-13. Members: $35; non-members: $40

Sunday, November 15: 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

REACH Youth Strength and Conditioning

The goal of the REACH program is to encourage and motivate children to establish healthy habits at an early age. Participants will learn the fundaments of a successful and safe strength training program to develop physical health and a strong sense of accomplishment. Join other kids and get ready to REACH! Classes are held two times per week for six weeks from September 8 - October 17, except for Junior REACHers classes which meet one time per week.

Girls Only Strength and Conditioning: Monday and Wednesday from 6:00 p.m to 7:00 p.m.

Strength and Agility Training: Wednesday and Friday from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Fitness for Basketball: Tuesday and Thursday from 6:30 p.m .to 7:30 p.m.

Junior REACHers (ages 7-8): Mondays from 5:00 p.m. to 5:45 p.m.

Seasonal Programs:

Fall Jubilation: Join us on October 25 at 10:00 a.m for a day full of fun games, activities, and prizes. There will be cookie decorating, costume contest, and much more. Members: $5/child, $7/adult; non-members: $7/child, $9/adult.

Fall Break Camp, October 23-24: Kids will have fun swimming, playing tennis, and participating in awesome indoor and outdoor activities. Campers must bring a swimsuit and dress in comfortable clothing. Water and light snack will be provided, participants will need to bring their own lunch. Members: $25/day; non-members: $30/day

Fall Break Camp, November 10-21: This camp is perfect for those families enrolled in year round schooling. Campers must bring a swimsuit and dress in comfortable clothing and are required to bring their own lunch. Members: $100/week or $25/day; non-members: $115/week or $30/day.

Christmas Shopping Extravaganza, November 28: Parents get a jump start on your Christmas shopping and we'll keep the kids. Kids will participate in tennis, swimming, and other fun games. Members: $25; non-members: $30.
